Silver Diamine Fluoride

Dr. Don and Dr. Mindy believe tooth decay should be thought of as a disease, not a “hole” in the tooth to be filled.  Although we still do traditional fillings and crowns, we now have a new medical approach to cavities.  Our new silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has been a true game changer. 

In as little as one minute, SDF is painted on the cavity, both killing the bacteria within the cavity and also strengthening the surrounding enamel.  In many cases, we are able to defer definitive treatment indefinitely.
